USNA International Bal '09

Niech żyje bal

Życie, kochanie, trwa tyle co taniec,
fandango, bolero, bibop,
manna, hosanna, różaniec i taniec,
i jazda, i basta, i stop.
Bal to najdłuższy, na jaki nas proszą,
nie grają na bis, chociaż żal,
zanim więc serca upadłość ogłoszą -
na bal, marsz na bal !
Szalejcie aorty, gdy idę na korty,
roboto, ty w rękach się pal,
miasta nieczułe, mijajcie jak porty,
bo życie, bo życie to bal.
Bufet, jak bufet, jest zaopatrzony,
zależy, czy tu, czy gdzieś tam,
tańcz, póki żyjesz, i śmiej się do żony,
i pij zdrowie dam...

Niech żyje bal,
bo to życie to bal jest nad bale,
niech żyje bal,
drugi raz nie zaproszą nas wcale,
orkiestra gra,
jeszcze tańczą i drzwi są otwarte,
dzień wart jest dnia
i to życie zachodu jest warte

Chłopo-robotnik i boa-grzechotnik
z niebytu wynurza się fal,
widzi swą mamę i tatę, i żonkę
i rusza, wyrusza - na bal.
Sucha kostucha, ta Miss Wykidajło
wyłączy nam prąd w środku dnia,
pchajmy więc taczki obłędu jak Byron,
bo raz mamy bal !

Niech żyje bal,
bo to życie to bal jest nad bale,
niech żyje bal,
drugi raz nie zaproszą nas wcale,
orkiestra gra,
jeszcze tańczą i drzwi są otwarte,
dzień wart jest dnia
i to życie zachodu jest warte !

What can I say, it was a lot of fun and to short, way to short... ehhhhh.

Lancaster - Amish Country

Last weekendI went with my friend for a 3-days trip. On First day we went to Duch Country in Pennsylvania.

Lancaster is one of that places, where Amish people live.
They are often best known for their simple living, plain dress and their resistance to the adoption of many modern conveniences.
They do not use electicity at all, but some Amish families have non-electric versions of appliances, such as kerosene-powered refrigerators.
No phones, it is an intrusion into the privacy and sanctity of the family. Amish of Lancaster County use the telephone primarily for outgoing calls, with the added restriction that the telephone not be inside the house, but rather in a phone "booth" or small out-building placed far enough from the house as to make its use inconvenient. These private phones may be shared by more than one family.
No cars (they use buggys - pulled by horses)- Although most Amish will not drive cars, they will hire drivers and vans, for example, for visiting family, monthly grocery shopping, or commuting to the workplace off the farm — though this too is subject to local regulation and variation. The practice increases the geographic reach of the Amish, and decreases isolation: a horse can travel only about 25 miles (40 km), and then it must rest for a considerable period, restricting the Amish to a radius of 12.5 miles (20.1 km) from home. Moreover, a horse and buggy can only sustain 10 mph (16 km/h) over an extended distance, and thus is impractical for emergencies. Regular bus service between Amish communities has been established in some areas, and train travel is accepted.
There is a lot to be wrote about amish people much more then I propably know. For those of you who have never even heard about those people, such amazing in certain way, I hope I interest you a little bit in it.

Mount Vernon

Week ago my friend Olga'shost mom invited me to join her family and my friend to a trip to Mount Vernon in Virginia. It was very nice trip. Unfortunately the weather was terrible: cold wind and shower. After all, I ended up with runny nose. Well, it wasn;t to back since it was my first cold since I came here to America.

Mount Vernon was the beloved home of George and Martha Washington from the time of their marriage in 1759 until General Washington's death in 1799. He worked tirelessly to expand his plantation from 2,000 acres to 8,000 and the mansion house from six rooms to twenty one.
It is the most popular historic estate in America. Located just 16 miles south of Washington, D.C. and 8 miles south of Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, the plantation rests on the banks of the Potomac River.

Revolutionary Road / Twilight

Kristy and I read all 4 twilight books. I watched the movie before reading books she read the books first. I went with her to see that movie though (to have a view from after reading the book). The only cinema where Twilight was still playing was in Arlington Virginia. Unfortunetely, we got there on tuesday evening and this was the only evening that instead of Twilight they play Revoutionary Road - we decided to watched it as we were already there.

'Titanic' shipmates Kathy Bates, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Kate Winslet step onboard for director Sam Mendes' tale of suburban malaise in 1950s-era Connecticut. Adapted from the classic 1961 novel by author Richard Yates, 'Revolutionary Road' tells the tale of a young Connecticut couple whose once-idealistic relationship steadily deteriorates into a ceaseless cycle of petty jealousy and bickering as they strive to retain their independence in the conformity-obsessed world of picket fences and perfectly manicured lawns. Ever since they first met, Frank (DiCaprio) and April (Winslet) saw themselves as special and different. They strive to form their relationship around higher ideals, though upon moving into their new home on Revolutionary Road, the defiant couple pledges never to be confined by the social conventions of the era. As time passes, however, Frank and April gradually become the very thing that they both feared most--a typical suburban family complete with abandoned dreams and faded hopes. Frank loses his nerve after taking a comfortable job with a reliable salary, and April morphs into an unsatisfied homemaker desperate for passion and excitement. But April's independent spirit hasn't been suffocated just yet, and when she hatches a plan to head for Paris, her need to escape at all costs stands in direct contrast to Frank's desire to hold on to what they already have.

It was very nice to see those actors together in the movie different then 'Titanic'. Unfortunately I can't tell that it was very nice that movie. It is really weird - you supppsosed to take something from the movie, some conclusion, but that movie will leave you with out it. If you are asking me to see that me or not: NOT unless you want to watch it for seeing DiCaprio Winslet and Bates together in one movie again.

The very next day we went to Arlington again to finally see Twilight.

What I have to say is that I like that movie less, now, after reading the books. And again as usually with books and movies. The only exception from that rule is the Lord of the Rings saga - I like the movies as well as books.

For those of you who are fun of Twilight movie and can't wait to see the New Moon, The whole cast and crew for next movie is filming right now in Vancouver our next movie, Here are some of the cast (confirmed) for new characters, :

Jacob's wolf pack:
Alex Meraz as Paul
Tinsel Korey as Emily Young
Chaske Spencer as Sam Uley
Tyson Houseman as Quil Ateara
Bronson Pelletier as Jared
Kiowa Gordon as Embry Call

The Volturi deadly wampire:
Dacota Fanning as Jane

Also, it is confirmed that the third movie Eclipse will be in cinemas in June 2010. There will be break between filming New Moon and Eclipse.
