Yes, yes. Halloween is coming to USA. As most of you know, it is crazy time for parties and Halloween costumes and home decorations! Right now, I am preparing myself (the same as many other au pairs for sure) to go on one of the Halloween parties (I will show you pictures later). Meanwhile, I will show what kind of decoration you can expect in USA (of course all including pumpkins!). ;

Tak, tak. Halloween nadchodzi do USA. Jak większość z was prawdopodobnie wie, to jest zwariowany czas na imprezy i przebrania oraz domowe dekorowanie! Dokłądnie teraz przygotowuję się (tak samo jak wie inych operek na pewno) na jedną z takich imprez halloweenowych (pokażę wam zdjęcia potem). W międzyczasie pokażę jakiego rodzaju dekoracji można się podziewać w USA (Oczywiście z obowiązkowymi dyniami!);

Everybody has a dark side

Mine catch me two weeks ago and let go yesterday. I was in terrible mood: wanting nothing, doing nothing, thinking of everything, being scared and feel insecure, crying, not sleeping, not eating TERRIBLE!. I don't even remember me being in such a bad mood before.Some friends are telling me it is homesickness, well I have never experience it before so it would be very weird reason. I know, I miss my friends and scouts but I also know that I will see them soon. Besides, I have really a blast in here with the boys, Anna, Mike and Kristy and my old and nee friends; the weather is just awesome too

Każdy ma swą ciemną stronę

Moja dopadła mnie dwa tygodnie temu a puściła dopiero wczoraj. Byłam w okropnym nastroju: niczego niechcąc, nic nie robiąc, myśląć o wszystkim,  będąc wytraszoną i czując się niepewnie, płacząc, nie śpiąc, nie jedząc OKROPNIE! Nawet nie przypominam sobie kiedy czułam się wcześniej. Kilko przyjaciół stwierdzilo że to tęsknota za domem, tylko, że ja nigdy tego nie doświadczyłam wczesniej, więc byłoby to dziwne. Wiem, tęknięza przyjaciółmi, harcerzami, ale wiem tez że niedlugo ich zobaczę. Poza tym, mam tu radochę z chłopcami, Anną, Mike'm i Kristy oraz moimi starymi i nowymi znajomymi, pogoda też jest zajebista...

1 month!

Time runs so fast. It's been already a month since I am in the USA again! Can you believe it? It passed with the Cultural Care New York training school, New York City short seesighting, coming to my beloved host family, meeting for the first time baby Anna, playing and spending plenty of wonderful time with my big boys, visiting old friends, finding new friends, visiting and tour-guiding Washington DC and a lot more. Let's see...

The photographer has Polish roots - she said me that last summer when I camE to USA only for a short visit, and well just look at her surname: SROKA in Polish = MAGPIE in English.

The Training School

The training school in New York...
What can I say. I was my second time there and it was, most of the time, just like dejavu. However, I have to admit that the food there improved a lot. In the training, all the au pairs could learn many useful things for safaty and health and creativity. There were also some break in with you could get outside and walk around the campus or use an internet to contact your family back in your country.

The trainnig was followed by a trip to New Your City - the pics from this will be in the next post. Here are the ones from the trainnig school.

Szkolenie w Nowym Yorku...
Cóż mogę powiedzieć. To był mój drugi raz tam i przez większą czasu to było jak dejavu. Jednakże muszę przyznać jedno: jedzenie tam serwowane naprawdę dużo się polepszyło. Podczas szkolenia operki mogły nauczyć się sporo użytecznych rzeczy na temat bezpieczeństwa, zdrowia i kreatywności. Podczas przerw, które tam były można było wyjść na zewnątrz i pospacerować po terenach Universytetu lub skorzystać z internetu by skontaktować się ze swoją rodziną w kraju.

Szkolenie zakończyło się wycieczką po Nowym Yorku - zdjęcia z niej już w następnym poście. A tymczasem zdjęcia ze szkoły szkoleniowej.

Welcome to United States Of America

I made it! I made my number 86 in my bucket list: Visit USA for the third time. My flight was okey, Changing the flight at the airport too. I watched really nice movie during the transatlantic flight 'The lucky one' - really nice.
There was a lot of line at the passport check in the Newark Airport - but it was funny to talk to this guy there. During the passpart check we talk a while about the family and why I am coming back again, few laughs (e.g. that I am kind of the second mother in this family :D ) - if was nice and funny.

I hAve to tell you that IT IS SO MUCH DIFFERENT WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO USA FOR THE THIRD TIME.
We had to wait for other girls from the other flight so it wa long time there. When we finaly get to the trainig school in New York it was after midnight and I was so freaking tired. The very next day, I had to wole up at 6 am - I looked and felt like zombie!

Udało się! Odkreślam numer 86 na mojej liście zdobyczy: Odwiedzam USA po raz trzeci. Cały przelot był wporządku. Tak samo jak przesiadka. Oglądałam bardzo fajny film w trakcie lotu przez Ocean: "The lucky one" - zdecydowanie polecam ten fajny film.
Oczywiście nie obyło ię bez kolejek przy sprawdzaniu paszportów i wiz na lotnisku w Newark - nie mniej jednak było bardzo zabawnie podczas rozmwy z gościem (celnikeim czy jak on tam ię zwie). Rozmawialiśmy o tym dlaczego wracam do USA ponownie (nawet stwierdziliśmy że jestem taką drugą, przyszywaną mamą w tej rodzinie) - naprawdę fajna gadka.

Muszę wam coŚ powiedzieć: JEST ZUPEŁNIE INACZEJ NA LOTNISKU GDY PRZYJEŻDZASZ O RAZ TRZECI.
Na lotnisku trozkę poczekaliśmy na dziewczyny z innego lotu. W sumie do do szkoły w Nowym Jorku dotarliśmy po północy,byłam paadnieęęętaaa. Następnego dnia musiała wstać o szóstej - Wyglądałam i czułam się ja zombie!

I'm leaving tomorrow. Where? What will I do there? Why am I going? And how look like my last days in Poland. Of course, additionaly a few fast tips.

My sweet little girl, because of who I am returnig to USA has arrived!!! Kristy gave birth to little Anna Victoria Weight (names after both grandmothers), todaymorning. I wish to be there already! And here I have still so much to do only one day left....

Moja malutka dziewczynka, przez którą wracam do USA już jest!!! Kristy urodziła małą Annę Wiktorię (imiona po obu babciach) Weight, dziś rano (czasu amerykańskiego). Chcialabym móc już tam być! A tu nadal tyle rzeczy do ogarnięcia, a tylko jeden dzień pozostał....

All came together, my flyight ticket, the time for packing and the great talk on skype with my host family Plus I'm running out of time.

No i się zbiegło wszystko: mój bilet lotniczy. pora na pakowanie oraz oczekiwana i świetna rozmowa na skypie z moją host rodzinką. Dodatkowo odczuwam już brak wystarczającego czasu.

As for the second, very soon I will make another few changes in my blog (but it needs a lot of work with the html - I hope you will like ir, as I feel veeeeeeeery exited about it). Then, as for the celebration of my my third time in USA, I'm preparing a challege for you (with gifts for the best ones! ;D) Stay tuded for this.

Here is Zosia - a wonderful girl that I take care of right now, and her cat Fiodor - I am completely in love it this cat. You can't see it on the pics but this cat is huuuuuge and sooooo fluffy. I already said to Zosia's parents that if one day they are unable to find their cat it will mean probably that I have lifted Fiodor.

Kilka rzeczy: kupiłam sobie nową ładowarkę do mojego aparatu! Hurra, nareszcie będę mogła na nowo zacząć robić zdjęcia (do bloga też) - czy to nie wspaniałe? ;D
Po drugie, wkrótce naciągają nowe zminay do bloga (jednak pókico to wymaga troszkę popracowania nad html - mam nadzieję że spodoba wam się efekt końcowy - bo ja szaleje na samą mylś). Następnie, w ramach świętowania mojego trzeciego razu w USA, przygotowuję dla was mini wyzwanie (które dla najleprzych może zakończyć się jakimś gifciorem)! Śledzić więc posty uważnie.

A skoro mój aparacik ma już nową ładowarkę to oczywiście nie zawahałam się jej użyć:
Oto Zosia - cudowna dziewczynka którą się obecnie opiekuję i jej kocur Fiodor. Jestem całkowicie zakochana w tym kocie. Nie widać tego na tych zdjęciach, ale on jest ogromny i taaaaaaki puchaty. Już nawet wspomniałam rodzicom Zosi,że gdyby pewnego dnia nie mogli znaleźć ich kota, to pewnie go im podwędziłam.

It is my second time as au pair - 3rd tie in USA - I should be ready with easy and no problems. Instead, I'm here having no fucking time for nothing and having huge list of thigs to do (and about 3 post in my had to move them to the blog) ...I'm so screwed. And I dream only for the list looking like that:

To mój drugi raz jako au pair, trzeci w USA. Powinnam być z łatwością i bez problemów przygotowana już. Zamiast tego nie mam ni huu*** czasu na cokolwiek, a moja lista rzeczy do zrobienia pęka w szwach(do tego jeszcze 3 posty w mojej głowie, które muszę przelać na bloga) ...Mam przechlapane. I jedyne o czym marzę to i liście rzeczy do zrobienia wyglądającej tak:

I needed to change the main pic from the blog and as I startet to look for something diffent I realized I have so many pictures and that it too hard. Then, I decided to make a colage ...well, then I found out that having over 16,000 pictures is still more unhelpfull then helpful. :/
Here are the lucky ones ...they are bring so many momorries. And soon a new year in USA will start for me :)

Potrzebowałam zrobić jakąś zmianę od mojej foty głównej z bloga i jak tylko zaczełam szukać za nową zrozumiałam, że zdecydowanie mam za dużo zdjęć i będzie to zbyt trudne. Następnie zdecydowałam zrobić kolaż ...cóż, dotarło do mnie, że posiadanie ponas 16 tys. zdjęć jest nadal bardziej niepomocne niż pomocne. :/
A oto szczęsliwe focisze ...przynoszą kupę wspomnień. A już wkrótce czeka mnie kolejny roczek w USA :)

(DWA JĘZYKI- SAMOUCZEK I ZMIANY) Two languages - tutorial and changes

As you can see the proces of making my blog bilinguall finaly came true. Unfortunately it will take me a long time to switch every singiel post from the pastto Polish. Maybe it is silly to do so as todays, there is not so much problem for Polish people to understand English. But you know. after all I am Polish so let's be a little patriotic here (actually I need work on Polish writing as it went really bad - so, at the same time, I will make myself a favor and a practise o Polish writing)

Jak widać proces przetwarzanie mojego bloga w blog dwujęzyczny nareszcie ruszył. Niestety trochę czasu zejdzie nim wszystkie posty zmienię na angielsko-polskie. Być może jest zbędnym takie zmienianie go, skoro w dzisiejszych czasach Polacy nie mają raczej trudności w rozumieniu angielskiego. Jednakże, wiecie, jakby nie było jest Polką więc dodajmy temu blogu odrobinę patriotyczności (zwłaszcza, że moja poprawna polszczyzna poszła w las, więc robię sobie przysługę pisząc posty, a jednocześnie ćwicząc moje pisanie)

Czy wam do jasnej ciasnej jak jesteście na moim blogu tez wyskakuję okienko do przekierowania na jakąś stronę??? np jak w coś klikniecie? czy to tylko na mnie tak działa? Wiza wiza wiza wiza Visa!

3 days after my visit at the American Embassy at here it my NEW and SECOND au pair (J1) Visa is here with me.

This time I haven't take anything weird stuff with me to the embassy as previously:
- 2007 - I was during camping at the Polish Scout Jamboree in Kielce (100 years of Scouting Movement) and the date for my visit was set exactly in the middle of the event. Those of you who had any touch with scouting know that usually you have many weird things, all put together in one backack in the tent, and so I had the same. The worst part was that I had many things to do right before living the camp site. The result of this one was that I packed myself really fast. When I got to the embassy, the first question at the security gate (when I gave my bag to the security lady) was: "Are planning to kill somebody here?". Imagine me... It was my first time at US embassy I was already stressed out and here I get the question like that with a very serious tone. I almost fainted! What was the reason of the question?

CZASEM Sometimes

Sometimes, you think you have a garden with a carrot... the best, the most nutritive carrot. Then, in the light, you see: it has wonderful green leaves; it is big (bigger that you could ever expect); it has the perfect cone shape; and it is ...white
- here you are with the giant parsley-root that should never be in your garden. Yes it is still a vegetable but not the one you wanted... I hate parsley-root!

There is so much to do still for my blog but at first, as I had promised, I will write about the last document completing and what you need/might need  to know.

As you know (at least those of you who the same as me is going to be au pair with Cultural Care) there is no need of running after any documents for the agency before your perfect match. Then after the final match, you will have to take care of the papers that will consume same of your time:

I'm still writing my REALLY HELPFULL post, or rather I had a little breake from writing it and I'm finishing it today. However, somebody said to my once: for important things it is always worth it to wait - so stay tuned until I will be done :)

Wiza and other time consuming things

well..this is it - I finaly founf time to run after all documents needed before going to USA. It was quite annoying especialy with the visa as it is my third one plus I have issue my passport while being in the USA for the first time. I will write soon (maybe even tonight all the details) hopefully those of you (readers) who  thing about becoming au pair will have a little bit of help. After all it is no so hard - just a time sucker!!!

Capitol Police Rescued Baby From Third Street Tunnel 

"As the Third Street Tunnel was evacuated due to a bus fire Monday morning, a baby became locked inside a vehicle, but U.S. Capitol Police were there to help.
Capitol Police officers were nearby when the call went out for an explosion in the tunnel. A military-owned school bus being towed caught fire because of an apparent mechanical failure.
Initially, authorities turned motorists around inside the tunnel so they could drive out the other direction, but once drivers toward the back started abandoning their cars and taking their keys with them as they avoided the smoke, everyone left inside had to leave their vehicles behind.
That included a mother who accidentally locked her baby and her keys inside her vehicle.
An officer managed to bust out a window to get the child and return it to the mother.
That officer and two others received treatment for smoke inhalation at area hospitals."

(DUPLIKATY) Blog's posts duplicates - help me!

Can you how everything is copied twice on the bottom of my blog? Did you have such a problem at any time? I was trying everying and the only thig I was able to do was to put the duplicates on the bottom of my blog to on the side bar - damn it!

Well I think everybody should have one like THAT. There are too many thingd that stop being awesome and become just ordinary after we manage to do them... and then we forget about them - how happy we were while experiencing them. Also, telling somebody alse about your goals is a great motivation!

Once in a lifetime memories

I've just looked at my posts from November 2008... gosh, they almost made my cry... It is scary how time can blur memories... I know I had awesome time in USA and I love Weight family as my own but seeing the  pictures all back again - especially with all the descripctions  of what exactly had happended there? - priceless!

For sure the two winters! one back here in Poland FULL of snow

and one in the Annapolis USA hardly  snowy.

And I wonder what kind of winter I will face this year?

I bet almost everybody has dreamnt about going to Disneyland....And my lovely family has just made it! I am soooooooo jealous.

2011/2012 the new adventure with au pair program

Here I am...
Recruitment Leader for Cultural Care Au Pair Poland (Warsaw).

Since June 2011 I've started to work for CCAP Poland, I prepare infomeeting for future au pairs, where I talk about the program and my own experience. It is amazing tha even I talk about my life as au pair in USA again and again it always keeps me smiling. I had such a wonderful time back in United States and I've always recommended to everybody do try it. Then, could image better job like that in this case? - Me neither!
