Welcome to United States Of America

I made it! I made my number 86 in my bucket list: Visit USA for the third time. My flight was okey, Changing the flight at the airport too. I watched really nice movie during the transatlantic flight 'The lucky one' - really nice.
There was a lot of line at the passport check in the Newark Airport - but it was funny to talk to this guy there. During the passpart check we talk a while about the family and why I am coming back again, few laughs (e.g. that I am kind of the second mother in this family :D ) - if was nice and funny.

I hAve to tell you that IT IS SO MUCH DIFFERENT WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO USA FOR THE THIRD TIME.
We had to wait for other girls from the other flight so it wa long time there. When we finaly get to the trainig school in New York it was after midnight and I was so freaking tired. The very next day, I had to wole up at 6 am - I looked and felt like zombie!

Hera are some of the pics from all the travel

Revolutionary Road / Twilight

Kristy and I read all 4 twilight books. I watched the movie before reading books she read the books first. I went with her to see that movie though (to have a view from after reading the book). The only cinema where Twilight was still playing was in Arlington Virginia. Unfortunetely, we got there on tuesday evening and this was the only evening that instead of Twilight they play Revoutionary Road - we decided to watched it as we were already there.

'Titanic' shipmates Kathy Bates, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Kate Winslet step onboard for director Sam Mendes' tale of suburban malaise in 1950s-era Connecticut. Adapted from the classic 1961 novel by author Richard Yates, 'Revolutionary Road' tells the tale of a young Connecticut couple whose once-idealistic relationship steadily deteriorates into a ceaseless cycle of petty jealousy and bickering as they strive to retain their independence in the conformity-obsessed world of picket fences and perfectly manicured lawns. Ever since they first met, Frank (DiCaprio) and April (Winslet) saw themselves as special and different. They strive to form their relationship around higher ideals, though upon moving into their new home on Revolutionary Road, the defiant couple pledges never to be confined by the social conventions of the era. As time passes, however, Frank and April gradually become the very thing that they both feared most--a typical suburban family complete with abandoned dreams and faded hopes. Frank loses his nerve after taking a comfortable job with a reliable salary, and April morphs into an unsatisfied homemaker desperate for passion and excitement. But April's independent spirit hasn't been suffocated just yet, and when she hatches a plan to head for Paris, her need to escape at all costs stands in direct contrast to Frank's desire to hold on to what they already have.

It was very nice to see those actors together in the movie different then 'Titanic'. Unfortunately I can't tell that it was very nice that movie. It is really weird - you supppsosed to take something from the movie, some conclusion, but that movie will leave you with out it. If you are asking me to see that me or not: NOT unless you want to watch it for seeing DiCaprio Winslet and Bates together in one movie again.

The very next day we went to Arlington again to finally see Twilight.

What I have to say is that I like that movie less, now, after reading the books. And again as usually with books and movies. The only exception from that rule is the Lord of the Rings saga - I like the movies as well as books.

For those of you who are fun of Twilight movie and can't wait to see the New Moon, The whole cast and crew for next movie is filming right now in Vancouver our next movie, Here are some of the cast (confirmed) for new characters, :

Jacob's wolf pack:

Adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. We follow his story, set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man's life can be. Directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett with Taraji P. Henson, Tilda Swinton, Jason Flemyng, Elias Koteas and Julia Ormond, 'Benjamin Button,' is a grand tale of a not-so-ordinary man and the people and places he discovers along the way, the loves he finds, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time.
It will become one om my favourite movies. And YES go and watch it!!

And time for a little break for some food :)

Mall Cop (trailer) - one big stupid disaster!!! A single, suburban dad, trying to make ends meet as a security officer at a New Jersey mall. It's a job he takes very seriously, though no one else does. When Santa's helpers at the mall stage a coup, shutting down the megaplex and taking hostages (Paul's daughter and sweetheart among them), Jersey's most formidable mall cop will have to become a real cop to save the day.
Very stupid american comedy. Don't warch it!!! NO

MARLEY AND ME/Marley i ja (trailer) - directed by Davis Frankel

Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston go to the dogs with Marley & Me, a tale of a couple forced to deal with a troublesome Labrador retriever.

Such a nice and funny story really worthy to watch. YES

BRIDE WARS/Ślubne wojny (trailer) - Directed by Gary Winick

Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson go head-to-head in Bride Wars, a romantic comedy that follows two best-friend brides who find they've scheduled their wedding dates on the same day.

Definetely more female comedy than for guys. Easy and funny - good to watch. YES

NOT EASILY BROKEN (trailer) - directed by Bill Duke

adaptation of the T.D. Jakes novel concerning a newly married couple that finds their union threatened by pressures involving faith, family, and finances. As the couple exchanges their vows, the minister lays a cord around them while uttering the blessing, "a threefold cord is not easily broken." Later, during their darkest hour, the minister's advice to always keep God at the center of their marriage could be the only thing that keeps this troubled pair together.
This movie is good but I'd rather concentrate on sth better. NO

FOUR CHRISTMASES/Cztery gwiazdki (trailer) - directed by Seth Gordon

When upscale, happily unmarried San Francisco couple Kate and Brad find themselves socked in by fog on Christmas morning, their exotic vacation plans morph into the family-centric holiday they had, until now, gleefully avoided. Out of obligation--and unable to escape--they trudge to not one, not two, but four relative-choked festivities, increasingly mortified to find childhood fears raised, adolescent wounds reopen...and their very future together uncertain. As Brad counts the hours to when he can get away from their parents, step-parents, siblings and an assortment of nieces and nephews, Kate is starting to hear the ticking of a different kind of clock. And by the end of the day, she is beginning to wonder if their crazy families' choices are not so crazy after all.

I was crying while watching - it was just so so so funny. Double YES !!!!!!!!

TWILIGHT/Zmierzch (trailer) - directed by Catherine Hardwicke

'Twilight' is an action-packed, modern-day love story between a teenage girl and a vampire. Adapted from Stephanie Meyer 'Twilight' (more about the story in others post about Twilight saga)

You should see it (prefer the book) YES!!

3D MOVIES

Maybe some of you will not believe me but I've never been in 3D movie - those here are my first ones.

BOLT/Piorun (trailer) - directed by Byron Howard and Chris Williams,
a tale of a superstar TV pup (voiced by John Travolta) who gets plopped in the middle of America with seemingly no way back to the glam and glitz of Hollywood. Thanks to his starring role on a hit television show, Bolt the pooch has become a household name. But Bolt has bought into his own heroic image, now believing that he really possesses the super-canine powers of his fictional television series. When he's accidentally shipped from Hollywood to New York City, he must rely on the help from his two newfound friends -- an abandoned house cat named Mr. Mittens (voiced by Susie Essman) and a television-addicted hamster named Rhino -- in order to make it back to the set in time for the next show.
I consider this movie as defenitely worthy to see. YES

MY BLOODY VALENTINE/Krwawe Walentynki - directed by Patric Lussier
retelling of one of the most underrated slasher films of the early '80s with this tale of a small town that's terrorized on Valentine's Day by a murderous maniac.
Nothing more to say - and big NO for that one!

Movies

Next good movie on my list! Last weekend I watched 'Eagle Eye' - thriller directed by D.J. Caruso. It is about a race-against-time starring Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Rosario Dawson, Anthony Mackie and Billy Bob Thornton. Jerry Shaw (LaBeouf) and Rachel Holloman (Monaghan) are two strangers thrown together by a mysterious phone call from a woman they have never met. Threatening their lives and family, she pushes Jerry and Rachel into a series of increasingly dangerous situations--using the technology of everyday life to track and control their every move. As the situation escalates, these two ordinary people become the country's most wanted fugitives, who must work together to discover what is really happening--and more importantly, why? Here you can watch Trailer of that movie. This movie really keeps your attension!

I should wrote I have two great movies on my list: during vacation in Delaware I watched other movie called 'August Rush' - a drama directed by Kirsten Sheridan. Tells the story of a charismatic young Irish guitarist (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) and a sheltered young cellist (Keri Russell) who have a chance encounter one magical night above New York’s Washington Square, but are soon torn apart, leaving in their wake an infant, August Rush, orphaned by circumstance. Now performing on the streets of New York and cared for by a mysterious stranger (Robin Williams), August (Freddie Highmore) uses his remarkable musical talent to seek the parents from whom he was separated at birth. And Trailer of movie. It is really gread story and everybody who things music is not only killer of silence will enjoy it!

As I am writing about movies I have to stop to the new 'Batman' movie called 'The Dark Knight' (trailer)

Directed of course by Christopher Nolan. Why that because that movie? Well, it is a good movie but what keep my I on it is one of the character - Joker (Who will become my idea for hallowen costume). It is the last whole role of Health Leadger who died on January this year. We will see his last movie 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus' next year - because that movies wasn't done before he died 3 actors (Jonny Deep. Collin Farellel and Jude Law) agried to finished Ledger's work and played Tony (Ledger's character) to the end of it. It was already a great actor and had only 28 years old.

Not long ago I read an article about Scream Awards 2008 (the event that honors the best in comics, fantasy, Sci-fi and horror). 'The Dark Knight' was gigant-winner there (12 awards).
Two of them went to H. Leadger:
>> The Best Actor In Fantasy Movie or Tv Show ("(...) Terrifying. Brilliant. The Joker is no joke.");
>> The Best Villain ("(...)His chilling performance as a terrifying clown may have spawned a thousand imitators, but there’s only one Joker.")
> Plus one award for The Best Line, which appeared The Joker's words: "I believe whatever doesn't kill you makes you stranger!".

There was a long discussion under article (as well as here) about future Oscars awards in 2009 and giving Halth Ledger the Oscar for The Best Supporting Actor . Many people said that he should not get it because he is dead, but should we think that way? In my opinion not - I will keep my fingers crossed for The Joker! As I read on moviefone website: "(...)Ledger's final completed performance has been the subject of posthumous Oscar buzz since before 'Knight' opened -- and half a billion dollars later, the Ledger Oscar train is full-steam ahead. No actor this year has disappeared so completely into a character; he's created one of the most horrifying, haunting, formidable villains ever."
Health Ledger was an actor who even with so short carrier should have an Oscar in 'pocket'. Just look back at titles like:
- '10 things I hate about you' - e.g. singing that song
- 'The Patriot' here see some pictures
- 'A Knight's Tale' - it is funny production
- 'Brokeback Mountain' (I guess everybody remember him from at least this 2005 movie)
- 'Casanova' olus I really like that interview
What to say more... it was great actor - I wish he could be still alive. In the end I will post a link to the part of his last interview after the movie 'I'm not there'. I'm looking forward to see that movie as well as the 'Candy' and his last 2009 movie.

OK - I guess nobody will have no doubt in that Heath is/was my favourite actor:D
