Kristy, the boys and me went that day to Great Falls, VA.
There, near the Nation's Capital, the Potomac River builds up speed, jogged rocks and flows through a narrow gorge. The river here was a trading place for American Indians and early colonists, and it is still a gathering place. History buffs and geology enthusiasiast find plenty to interest them - in the remmants of Geirge Washington's canal and in the natural structure of the gorge.
I enjoyed being there very much. Nice place for hiking, what I love to do.
